The Columbian exchange had a harsh impact on Native Americans , Diseases being one of the many culprits. Europeans brought smallpox and measles with them which led to the death of millions of Native Americans. There was also other diseases like Influenza , typhus and malaria.
Who benefited? the Europeans of course this Global trade led to new trade and business practices as a result we see a rise in capitalism( economic system based on private ownership and investment of resources) and Joint Stock Companies. Which also led to the growth of mercantilism(economic theory that trade generates wealth and is stimulated by the accumulation of profitable balances, which a government should encourage by means of protectionism.Oxford Dictionary)As a result this all lead to an economic revolution in Europe, the growth of towns and cities and the rise of a merchant class.
