The Agricultural Revolution had several important effects. First, it removed some of the uncertainty about feeding a growing population, secondly it freed up many people to seek employment in cities and urban areas. It created extra time for people to devote to the arts and sciences.
Those changes created a growing intellectual interest that resulted in the exchange of ideas between different societies and different nations.
