The null hypothesis is that a new energy drink does not change your energy during workouts.
The alternative (experimental) hypothesis is that the new energy drink significantly increases your energy during workouts. This is a directional hypothesis because it predicts an increase, as opposed to just predicting a change (increase OR decrease).
A type 1 error would be rejecting the null when it should be accepted and a type 2 error would be accepting the null when it should be rejected.
