Well first, make sure you read the oration. It is John Hancock's most famous speech. The language is of the period but it is still a great read and you should take your time going through it.
The lasting effect of the speech is that Hancock claims that the colonists are not truly a "free people" and that the whole situation being incurred which is taxation without representation is a crime that must be corrected.
You should easily be able to come up with three reasons why the American colonists were not truly a free people, and take it from there.
