I'm assuming that you meant this:
f (x) = x2 + 3x + 2 and g (x) = x + 1
(f + g)(x) is the same as f(x) + g(x)
So:
(f + g)(x) = x2 + 3x + 2 + x + 1 = x2 + 4x + 3

You wrote f(x) = x2 + 3x + 2. Does x2 mean x^2 (x-squared)?09/06/19
