a = weight of large box , b = weight of small box
a + b = 70
70a + 50b = 4600
20a + 50*(a + b) = 4600
20a + 50*70 = 4600
20a + 3500 = 4600
20a = 1100
a = 55
b = 70 - 55 = 15

Let the weight of large boxes be x and small boxes be y.
We know that both boxes together weigh 70lb
So, x+y=70...(1)
total number of boxes is 4600, and there are 70large and 50small boxes
So, 70x+50y=4600....(2)
Solving the two equations,
70x+70y=4900
70x+50y=4600
Subtract the two,
20y=300 , y=15 and x=55
