After 1 minute you burn 10 calories. After another minute you burn another 10 calories. And of course after yet another minute you burn 10 more calories. Therefore, you get these results:
Minutes Total calories burned
1 10
2 20
3 30
etc. etc.
You should be able to see that the second column is simply the first column multiplied by 10. You want to find the total calories burned after 20 minutes:
Minutes Total calories burned
20 ???
Again, just multiply the number in the first column by 10. (By the way, since you are burning calories, thus reducing the total number of calories, your teacher may want you to represent the change with a negative sign.)
