In my experience teaching the Books of the Bible is best taught through visualization and music.Having the books of the bible broken up into 5 each week and each 5 are different colors. The children then practice them and the teacher can take away one and see if they remember it, then remove another and so on.until they can recite the ones that they have learned so far.

Hi! Julie gives a great answer, so I thought I'd just give you a few specific resources you can use!
Here is an awesome books of the bible song! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9DodTRI3vU
Kids have a huge capacity for memorization, if you can keep them engaged. I would play this song (or another one) at the beginning of each class and have all the kids march to the beet. Then each class you could have story time, choosing one story from from book in chronological order. It also depends on what age group you are talking about. I like to have the kids act out the bible stories, and I always bring a few props to help the story come alive!
Here are some great bible links & teacher resources:
https://www.adventurebible.com/resources (great resource for you as well as the students to continue exploring the bible at home!)
https://childrensministry.com/list-of-bible-games/ (a list I've used activities from in the past)
https://sharemylesson.com/ (a great resource for teachers in general. This has been a life saver for me!)

The same basic principles of learning can be applied to learning the books of the Bible. First, break the information into smaller segments; then use repetition and activities so that students can interact with the information. The books of the Bible are broken into segments such as the Pentateuch or books of Moses, history, poetry, major prophets and minor prophets. The New Testament also has divisions. Instruction can include a brief overview of what is contained in the books. The second phase, repetition and activities, can include singing, chanting, copying, word puzzles, Bible drills (looking up verses), etc. As students learn one section, a new section is added with occasional review or inclusion of the previous sections.
