AND, the required amount of wood depends on whether the corners are mitred or not ... AND, the frame usually partially overlaps the picture, which also affects the required amount of wood. Yes, a poorly worded / poorly conceived problem statement.

If Sasha gets 36 units there shall not be enough wood for the corners. (It is a poorly worded problem.) The width of the frame must be known to compensate for the corners. (Draw a diagram).08/16/19
