Most creative non-fiction does include all the elemetns of fiction, except that the basis for these elements are simply based on real-life inspiration and information. As a matter of fact many of the story telling techniques and stylistic choices between fiction and non-fiction are interchangeable. It is a misconception that non-fiction is simple a list of data and research. How we present those facts and real-life events is as much an art as any other genre within literature. Think about two people telling you a story in real life. Even if they are telling you the same events, chances are, one of them is better at relaying the information to recreate the mood or the excitement of the story, and thus is able to hold your attention better. So ultimately we stop listening to the other person. Same applies when we tell stories in the a written format as well.
