Ex. A)
Child playing with others without being influenced by outside factors
This gives you the opportunity to witness how the child interacts with others. If the child is initiating playtime and conversation, maybe the child shows extroverted characteristics. If the child is avoiding conversing with others, maybe the child has a history of being ignored or abused.
Ex. B)
Child learning how to do a puzzle completely by themselves
This will show you what hand is dominant for the child and how they process sequences of interaction. Some children prefer to complete the outline of the puzzle first, and other prefer to start on one side and go from there. This will show you the style of the child's cognitive processing.
