In an examination , 80% of the students passed in English , 85% in Mathematics and 75% in both English Mathematics. If 40 students failed in both the subjects , find the total number of students.

You're asking for an amount. You've got me thinking. Eng-20% failed. 15% failed in math. So Eng/5+Math/6.66=40students. Between the 2 subjects there's 114 students.
