Is it OK to leave a portion of a page blank if you are trying to end the chapter?

It is absolutely ok to leave a portion of your page blank. Read any famous book and you will discover many chapters are not filled front to back. Any English teacher will tell you to read to the end, but the last page is usually summarized in the beginning of the next chapter.

Although, you will become a poor reader and speller. Reading sticks to the brain and so does spelling a grammar. Skipping pages, if not needed, will not hep you I the long run.

In my opinion, I believe that it's important to take control of your narrative and what you are writing, if you feel it impacts the story more positively for a ready to finish a chapter and move over to the next or if it's better for them to continue with the flow of the story and have them directly keep reading onto the next chapter I suggest you try to read through 2 of your chapters with and without the blank and see if there is a difference from a reader's perspective. Perhaps print out copies and give them to people you know for an outsider's opinion. I hope this helps!
