For citing nobility, you generally do not need to include the distinction of any form of knighthood (sir). You may include a title of nobility when it becomes intrinsically tied to the name, such as for kings, queens, princes, princesses. In those cases you can add the distinction in parentheticals: (Duke of York) or (Dutchess of York). But even then it is generally not necessary and you can cite nobility as you would other authors.
