Simple present vs. present continuous?

What is the difference between saying: > Are you still working there? > Do you still work there? Which is more common in spoken vs written English? Google books returned results for both of them.

Both are correct. It would depend on the flow of conversation of what was previously said, which one comes more naturally as a follow up to what was previously said.
