Greetings! Lets solve this shall we ?
So, we must solve this problem by finding it dimensions! So let the length be equal to l = 3x + 2 and the width be w = x. The perimeter is P = 468 yards. The formula for the perimeter of a rectangle is
P = 2l + 2w
468 = 2(3x+2) + 2(x)
468 = 6x + 4 + 2x
468 = 8x + 4..............Then subtract 4 to get
464 = 8x..............Then divide 8 such that
x = width = 58 yards
Now we plug in 58 into the length such that
l = 3(58)+2
length = 174 + 2
length = 176 yards
I hope this helped!
