Calculate the volume of the cylinder. Then calculate the sphere. Set these numbers up as a ratio such as this:
Vol of sphere/vol of cylinder = X (percent sphere takes up of cylinder)/100
Cross multiply and divide as you would in a ratio.

asked 06/27/19there is a cylinder with a diameter of 20cm and a height of 20cm. what fraction of the cylinders volume is taken up by the sphere if the sphere has a dimeter of 20cm and fits inside of the cylinder perfectly?
Calculate the volume of the cylinder. Then calculate the sphere. Set these numbers up as a ratio such as this:
Vol of sphere/vol of cylinder = X (percent sphere takes up of cylinder)/100
Cross multiply and divide as you would in a ratio.
