To demonstrate the other option, take the word "pobre." It's diminutive is "pobrecito."
However, between peers or online, you might see "sabrocito," as there is no real focus on grammar in these informal settings. Similarly with businesses, the spelling changes can be for brand recognition, such as the backwards "R" in Toys R Us, or the "z" in Sheetz. Both are technically misspelled, but easily understood.
