Your assumption is correct as nucleic acids are not found in cell membrane. They are not a structural component in the cell membrane. They are only found in ribosomes and the nucleus as either DNA or RNA.
I do not know if this was an error on the teacher's part or not, but I would respectfully take this up with the teacher. This could cause students in the class to become confused later on in their academic studies.
