The difficulty of translating any language into another has to do with whether the words used have a direct translation in another language, whether figures of speech are understood in the original language and whether there is a way to approximate those figures of speech in the target language, and whether the grammar used in the original language has a direct correlation with the grammar in the target language.
You may have heard that certain words in certain languages "can't be translated" to English, but all this means is that no single word in English translates directly to the word in the other language. You could still describe that other word using a phrase or a couple sentences in English.
When it comes to poems, the trouble you may run into is finding direct equivalents in English for words, figures of speech, and grammar used in those poems.
