What was there before the "Big Bang"? If there is a god what was there before a god? Why?

God is Eternal. It is one of the hardest things to comprehend. But God is like the algebraic concept of a line. No beginning and no ending. He has always been and always will be. He is the Author of this World, of time, space, matter, all of creation. And He didn’t have to use the Big Bang. Instead He spoke the universe into existence as Genesis says. In the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth. He created the world in 6 literal days.

Without God, nothing would exist. But why are we here? Why do we exist? The answer is this—we exist to glorify God. He is our Creator and Authority. And He—the Creator of the Universe, wants to be our Saviour and Friend. All we have to do is ask.

Most Christians believe that God existed before our concept of the universe, even before the "Big Bang" when the world came into being. He does not exist within our understanding of time. There is no "before" God or something that "made" God. He has always existed in ways that we simply cannot understand. In the Bible, Psalm 90:2 states that "Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God." Job 36:26 states "How great is God - beyond our understanding! The number of his years is past finding out." There are many other Bible verses that reference how God is eternal, ageless, and past our understanding. I hope this is helpful!
