This depends on how traditional one takes on the aspects of English language tenses (times).
I consider there are only two times or tenses in English: Present and Past, where Present is default. There is no compound tenses in English in this case but Attributes or Properties of Nucleic and Non-Nucleic verbs, of which one may say are embedded in the Auxiliary just as Times/Tenses are. Therefore, this depends on how one looks at the Tenses linguistically.
