The rate of typing can be written like an equation:
rate = words / time
Here we know the rate (40 wpm) and the number of words (3,000), but we don't know the time it took.
So let's manipulate our equation:
time = words / rate
time = 3000 / 40 = 75 minutes (remember the rate here is expressed in words per minute)
So, if Jeff started typing at 8:15 am, he'd finish at 9:30 am.
