Cebuano is a Verb initial language that means the verb usually comes first in a sentence or utterance. other constituents of a sentence or utterance can vary in position but this a preference for the subject to come before the object. Adjectives come before nouns they modify.
The general English word order is a little different. The subject usually comes first which is then followed by the verb and then the object. Similarly, Adjectives come before nouns that they modify.
