English and TOEFL Expert: Master Skills with a Master Trainer
In my trainings to English teachers around the world, I find that most teachers are still teaching a traditional/classical style that most resembles the Grammar Translation Method. This style focuses a lot on memorization, vocabulary (especially verb tenses and forms), and a certain amount of the native language as a way to perceive or understand the target language.

That stated, there are many different approaches besides the Grammar Translation Method such as the Direct Approach, Reading Approach, Audiolingual Method, an array of psycholinguistic approaches, and the Communicative Approach, which since the 1980s, is probably the most prominently accepted by experts around the world.09/06/19
