Who were the best German artists between WWI and WWII?

The Weimar Period in Germany was politically tumultuous and artistically fascinating! some of the most well known artists who produced work during this time period in Germany were: Otto Dix, Max Beckmann, and George Grosz all of whom rejected the style of German Expressionism in favor of Neue Sachichkeit or New objectivity. also producing work towards the beginning of the Republic Era and one of my personal favorites was Kathe Kollwitz who produced Seven Woodcuts on War in the early 1920's.
