This (what i assume to be) ratio math problem is really making my head hurt. I'm struggling to come up with a formula to solve this. Please HELP!!

a truck delivers bags of apples and oranges to the grocery store. Each bag has twice as many apples as oranges. Each bag contains 15 pieces of fruit. if the truck delivers 63 bags of fruit, how many apples are in the delivery

In (1) where is the 3 coming from? Also, in the answer steps I've been given, there is a ratio within each bag containing 15 pieces of fruit of 2:3. I'm absolutely stumped as to how they came up with that. Any idea?

63 bags of fruit & 15 pieces in each bag = 945 pieces of fruit
