Why is the effect of competitive antagonist less than the effect of non-competetive antagonists?

Drugs can be provided as a competive or non-competitive form of agonists. But the effect of non-competitive antagonists is much more than the other, so what is the cause of that? And are there some exceptions?

A competitive antagonist is like throwing a baseball and an orange at a bassebal glove. The glove can catch either, and will release either.

Non-competitive antagonists come in two kind.

Ones that work by say, cutting the webbing out of the glove so it cannot catch.

Or ones that are like an orange - covered in superglue. Once caught, it stays caught.
