I’ll start with the conditional present tense. The conditional present tense in Spanish equates to conditional statements in English that includes the word would, For example I would buy that house if I had enough money. Yo compraría esa casa, si tuviera suficiente dinero. The conditional past tense versión, is to include the conjugation of the word haber along with the conjungation of comprar.. For example Yo habria comprado esa casa si tuviera suficiente dinero, which equates to I would have bought that house if I had enough money.
In regard to the subjunctive verb tense in Spanish, one way to remember the subjunctive form is to think of statements to express commands or desires for someone to do an action. While the words Hable: Speak, Coma: Eat are command phrases, the subjunctive is used when someone expresses desire for another to do an action. Quiero que,(Usted) hable mas despaciamente. I want you to speak slower.. Ella quiere que comas esos frijoles. She wants you to eat those beans.
