If you focus on the nouns and pay close attention and then add a mental note of importance to them, you will begin to notice the prepositions which are describing them.

It, for, to, above, below, inside

The above mentioned words are common ones, but mainly if you are learning the location of something, the words describing the location usually are prepositions, if they can be removed from the statement, and the statement will remain a functional sentence.
