In Rev. MLK’s “Letter from Birmingham” he responded to the critiques of other clergy members. Clergymen around the country questioned why MLK continued to lead protests throughout the South and whether or not it was the best way to achieve his goals. In his letter he defended his non-violent protests and use of civil disobedience.
