This problem is concerning dividing fractions. We have a fraction of a cake which is then divided into more pieces.
We start with: 1/3 ÷ 6 = 1/3 x 1/6 = 1/18
note that when you divide by a fraction it is the same as multiplying by the inverse of that fraction.
Each piece is 1/18th of the original cake.
