You need to increase the amount of each ingredient by the factor of how many batches (5 1/3) you are making
Sugar is 5/8 cup times 5 1/3 batches
Butter is 7/8 cup times 5 1/3 batches
But you first need to convert the mixed number 5 1/3 batches to a fraction to perform the multiplication, so
5 1/3 batches = [(5x3)+1] / 3 =16/3 batches
Now multiply the amount of each ingredient by the scaling factor of 16/3 batches
5/8 x 16/3 = (5x16)/(8x3) = 80/24 = 10/3 cups = 3 1/3 cups of sugar
7/8 x 16/3 = (7x16)/(8x3) = 112/24 = 14/3 cups = 4 2/3 cups of butter
