This is an example of Scientific Notation.
When you have anything x 10 to a positive exponent, you will move the decimal that many places to the right. If you have a negative exponent, you move to the left.
So 534.0 x 104 = 5430000 = 5,430,000
If it were x 10-4, the answer would be .0534
