asked 04/24/19What is going to happen?
I’m in 10th grade and I completed first semester of my grade and then started having some personal issues to where I got transferred to full time virtual school for second semester. When I was taking second semester of my classes online, I didn’t do good and dropped all of my classes. Therefore all of my classes for 10th grade only have one semester completed. I did get good grades first semester. What is going to happen? Will I get held back? If I don’t go to summer school, will I get held back?

wow ... I hope you are doing better.. Being a teen can be tough. High school is not like elementary. You don’t repeat the complete grade. You need 24 credits to graduate. So, your credits define your grade. Each school district is a little different but you would probably be classified as a Junior but you are a semester behind. If you are going back to a regular school, meet with their guidance counselor and come up with a plan. If you are going to continue at home you might want to try taking two classes at a time, Get them done quickly and move in to the next. The key to success in Virtual school is setting a schedule, following it, and asking for help when you need it. Good luck and reach inside for your strength. It’s in there.

You need 24 credits to graduate from high school. Technically, you are a semester behind. You can get caught up if you work hard and stay focused. Virtual school is tough if you are doing it on your own. If you are planning on going back to a regular school, meet with their guidance counselor to come up with a plan. If you plan to stay with virtual school try taking 2 classes at a time in their acceralated schedule.04/24/19
