Experienced Spanish and English as a Second LanguageTutor
English speakers commonly ask the same question about Spanish and other languages! The dilemma is in the mind and eye of the learner. For example, Spanish grammar is significantly more complex than English because of all of the verb tense and conjugations but it comes naturally to a native Spanish speaker. Often what causes problems for English learners is the same dilemma that faces Spanish learners: the tendency to want to translate from one language to the other rather than actually learning the grammatical structure. The only way to overcome that is a lot of practice and trying to think in the target language rather than translating from the native language.
