A Quick Question Regarding the Direct Object

Sometimes we use the "short form" (ام، ات، اش) as in «دیدمش», «میبینمت» etc When the verb is compound, do we put the object within the verb or the other word? Do we say «پیدا کردمش» or «پیدایش کردم»?

Hello. One characteristic of the Persian language is that parts of speech can move in the sentence and the sentence would still make sense. For example order in a sentence is very important in English while it is not in Persian. In your question, those short forms can be moved in the sentence. Therefore, both «پیدا کردمش» and «پیدایش کردم» are correct! However, to me as a native Persian speaker, «پیدایش کردم» sounds more formal, and «پیدا کردمش» more informal. «پیدا کردمش» would be found more in spoken Persian than written!
