To learn Persian like any other language, you have to work with letters as well as a few words of the letters you are taught. Work on the basic steps of the training, which include general lessons, and then learn the language in the specific field you are looking for. For example, literature, history, art, architecture or other items. There are many books designed in this field that should be taught along with the instructor. I am a course designer myself and I design the course based on the learner's needs.

Hi there,
I would recommend taking it step by step. I would say start with learning the alphabet letters together with some words at first. Then you can start writing sentences and paragraphs. But take small steps and go forward little by little. You do not want to make yourself feel overwhelmed. Language learning requires lots and lots of patience and dedication.
You can set daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals. You can schedule times for yourself in a day or in a week to sit down and practice writing/reading. I would say half an hour to one hour a day is perfect because it will all builds up. Also, everyone is different. Some people might be able to study hours in one sitting, some might need or be able to do only minutes at a time. But I would say having a plan would help a lot.
Will it pay? Of course! When learning a new language you want all the skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) to develop together. However you can be better at one skill than another. It also depends on your needs as a language learner. You can learn writing and reading together. Language is not one skill or another. It is a whole that you need to pay attention to. It is like a body. You can not train only one muscle. You have to train the whole body.
Finally do not give up. The secret to learning a language is persistence and long-term dedication and know that with hard work you can do it. If you need specific feedback or help please contact me. I will be happy to help.
Thank you,
Leila
