There never has been, nor is, nor ever will be, a book like this. It is a collection of sacred writings (or books) written over a period of 1600 years.It begins with an account of God's creation of the universe and everything in it. Part history, part poetry, part ethics, part prophesy, the Old Testament conveys the picture of God acting through this creation as an all powerful and all loving God. The New Testament begins with His only son coming into the world to self-sacrificially transform it, and following primarily letters designed to theologically explain the significance of this transformation, concludes with an apocalyptic prophesy about how this world will end.
