Computers and Web Design are stimulating; let's explore!
Of course, this is just my personal opinion, but I would schedule them close together in a logical flow based on their topics. I understand they are in a similar realm of topic with one another. However, I'm sure there is an obvious good option for opening, second, and closing based on specific topic. That way the people that are interested in listening to technical information can just stay for that grouping of speeches. Even the speakers themselves can engage in one another's topics since they will hear one another. It could even "enlighten" them with a "light bulb" moment for their specific specialty if they are similar enough, technically speaking.
It's all about learning, not just from an attendees perspective. Anyone listening to another's different perspective can gain insight into a topic of which they already have knowledge; broadening one's horizon as they say. It's always helpful, all the way around.
And then, yes, I agree, they can have time off during other topic sessions to do as they please. That is, if they don't wish to stick around and listen - if the other topic(s) are of no interest.
