Psychologists call these environmental distractors / cognitive load - which demand your attention before your able to focus on a task. These factors come from all environments including social, physical, emotional, and even our learning environment. These influencing factors are everywhere and are unlimited. Some factors of our physical environment consist of noise, lighting, temperatures, clutter, and air pollution. Our social environmental factors include chaos, lack of supervision, violence, poverty, and homelessness. In our learning environment we also experience influential factors. These include lack of structure, mental overstimulation and under stimulation, and unclear expectations.
Influential factors can be different for each person, some may have one or two, another person my have several. The possibilities are never ending and every individual perceives these factors and is affected by them in thier own way.
