Hi, Takia! I looks like you're missing a key word there. Is the question supposed to say "How much LONGER would it take for Victoria to read 10 books?
If so, I can help!
Ricky reads 1/3 of a book each day, which means that in 3 days, he will finish one book.
1/3 book x 3 days = 1 whole book
In that case, it will take him 30 days to read 10 books
1/3 book x 30 days = 10 whole books
Victoria reads 1/4 of a book each day, which means that in 4 days, she will finish one book.
1/4 book x 4 days = 1 whole book
So it will take her 40 days to read 10 books because
1/4 x 40 days = 10 books.
To find how much longer it will take Victoria, subtract the two values:
40 - 30 = 10 days.
It will take Victoria 10 days more to read 10 books than it would take Ricky.
I hope that helps!
