Ravi, could you check to see if you wrote the problem correctly.

 

If the sum of 2 numbers is 2 and the sum of their absolute values is 6, then the possibilities are 4 & - 2 or 5 & - 3.

 

If the sum of 2 numbers is 2 and their difference is 6, then the 2 numbers could be 4 & - 2.
