At the northpole, which way is east?

If a person stands on the north, or south pole. How do they determine which way is east/west?

In the North Pole all of the directions point south. Lines of longitude converge so it's longitude can be looked t as any degree value. Along the latitude circles, counterclockwise is east and clockwise is west.
