Only 8 of 438 people answered „Spanish“ when asked „What is your favorite cuisine?“.

Why do you think Spanish food is not one of the most favorites?

I’m trying to make some „hypothesis“ or theories that could help me in a topic about Spain + Gastronomy tourism. 438 people is a very small sample of answeres, but it’s interesting that it is not even 2 % of the votes for favorite cuisine. The most of people voted for Italian cuisine, which was expected, but Spain failed this hard…

The question is who is the audience that is answering your question. If most of them are Americans than maybe they prefer Italian such as pizza or Chinese cuisine. In America we don't have Spanish or even Portugese cusine. But we have from cointried from South America such as Argentinian or Brazilian cusine or my favorite Peruvian. Mayne that's why they didn't vote for Spanish food because there isn't many Spanish restaurant to offer this cusine. In comparison there are also only few French or German restaurants but many more Mexican. I hope that this helps with understanding your survey.
