Since you would find the total by multiplying $/hr x hours/week x # of weeks, then you can use the inverse operation (opposite operation) to solve by starting with your total $ earned over the 9 weeks.
Division and multiplication are inverse operations. So you would begin with your total $ amount earned and divide that by the number of weeks it was earned over to see how much was earned each week. Then, you can take the amount earned each week and divide it by the number of hours worked in one week, which will give you the amount earned each hour.

I was hoping to explain the steps you would need to take to arrive at the answer on your own. You would need to take $4,320/9 weeks which would give you $480 per week. Then divide $480/40 hours to get $12 per hour.05/03/19
