When is the 把 construction forbidden?

I would like to understand which (if any) of these sentences are incorrect and why. 1. 我给了我妹妹一支笔。(being the most basic, this is the one I think I understand) 2. 我把那支笔给我妹妹了。 3. 我把一支笔给我妹妹了。 4. 我在把这支笔给我的妹妹 Thanks in advance for any answers.

1, The first 2 sentences with 把, better put 了 right behind the verb给.

我把那支笔给了我的妹妹。我把一支笔给了我的妹妹。（the past tense)

我把那支笔给我的妹妹了。（To imply that you don't have that pen anymore. Because of the 了 in the end of the sentence.)

2.The last one is a drill of the present progressive, the 正 is omitted from 正在. Look :

-----你（正）在干什么？

-----我（正）在把这支笔给我的妹妹。

在+Verb: means the action is in progress. For example, I am singing.我在唱歌🎤。

在+Place : means to be at , in, and on. For example, I am at home.我在家。

We don’t say 我在把这枝笔给我妹妹。
