I believe that a "main stage" speech is more like a keynote speaker - one person standing up and presenting to the audience - with follow-up questioning. A "panel speech" is a panel group of speakers that presents and then the audience can ask different members of the panel follow-up questions. The panel speakers can be from the same company and can cover different topics or panel speakers may be from different companies who are there to share their particular expertise on the topic of discussion.
