Convert text to paragraph text in Illustrator?

Question

Is there any quick way to convert text created at point (automatically resizable boundaries) to a area (paragraph) text (with fixed boundaries) in Illustrator CS3?

CS3 goes back a bit, but currently (CC2019), there are 2 ways:

• Type—> Convert to Area/Point Type.

• Dbl.-click the disc-shaped widget sticking out of the right side of the Bounding Box (probably not in CS3).
