How to refer to myself in a research paper?
1 Expert Answer
I guess it might be unusual for the participant to be the one reporting on the results, which is why a similar example is difficult to find. You never want to refer to yourself within a research paper because it will take away from the results, which is what the paper's focus should be about. I would take similar advice to the comment above and identify yourself and partner as subject A and B and use those terms to refer to your experience just to play it safe. Hope that helps!
